Germination guide
Ananas comosus seeds will usually germinate in 5 to 10 days, even under good conditions germination may be erratic. Normally will only germinate with light so surface sow. Sow Ananas comosus seeds on the surface of a sandy seed sowing mix at about 30-35°C.

Soak in warm water, which should be changed daily. Most seeds swell up when they are soaked, those that do should be sown immediately. Seeds that don't swell can be gently scarified.

Scarify seeds that do not swell in 5 days (hard seed coat)
