Germination guide
Freesia sparmannii seeds will usually germinate in 25-30 days, even under good conditions germination may be erratic. Sow seeds about 6mm deep in a Peaty seed sowing mix at about 22°C.

Soak the seeds for 24 hours before sowing 6mm deep in an acidic, water retentive and free draining seed compost. Keep humid at around 20°C. Good ventilation helps prevent fungal infection, but also dries the seed compost.
