Datura ceratocaula seeds will usually germinate in 21-365 days, even under good conditions germination may be erratic. Normally germinates in the dark. Sow seeds about 9mm deep in a light, well drained, and water retentive seed sowing mix at about 30°C.
Outdoor Treatment, in temperate regions, can give seeds exactly the sequence of cold and damp and warm conditions needed to encourage germination. Check your weather conditions to see whether they may be appropriate. Shady sheltered conditions are recommended (to keep humidity and temperature regular) in a free draining, but water retentive medium - this can be in pots in a cold frame, where they can be easily protected from weeds and animals.
Datura ceratocaula prefers slightly alkaline soil. GA-3 encourages Daturas to germinate quicker and more uniformly.
