Germination guide
Piper nigrum seeds will usually germinate in 30 days, even under good conditions germination may be erratic. Sow seeds about 3mm deep in a well-drained, moisture retentive (rich in organic matter) seed sowing mix at about 30C.

Soak for a day in warm water before sowing. Germination averages around 50%. Gibberellic acid can raise germination to 80%.
